Hillmead Pupils Perform at the O2

Pupils from Hillmead Primary School in Bishop's Stortford took to the big stage performing at the O2 arena. The 28 pupils were part of the nationwide Young Voices Choir, the largest school choir concert in the world. Months of practice paid off for the thirty year 6 pupils when they finally took to the stage on 17th January 2017.  Together with other schools they performed current catchy tunes , such as 'Birdhouse in Your Soul', 'Stronger Together' and 'Sing' alongside artists such as Natalie Williams, The Beatbox Collective, Tabby Callaghan and dance group Urban Strides.

Laura Sell, Assistant Headteacher and year 6 teacher at Hillmead said: “The children practised very hard for their big day and loved performing in one of the UK’s greatest concert venues with thousands of other children. It was such a brilliant opportunity to be involved in this nationwide event."”

Young Voices is providing children with the opportunity to perform in some of the world’s greatest arenas alongside professional artists.
