Australian Bushfire Fundraising

Our Coin Collection

On Monday 27th January, we brought in our gold and silver coins to donate to one of the charities helping the recovery after the devastating bushfires in Australia. We used our coins to 'colour in' two giant pictures of a koala and a kangaroo. We had so many coins that each class managed to cover both the koala and the kangaroo in silver and gold! We raised over £400!

Watch our short movie to see how it happened!

Our Chosen Charity

There are many charities we could choose to donate to, but because we have chosen WIRES (New South Wales Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service). Please look at their website if you would like to know more about their work and their emergency appeal.
