Protective Behaviours

What is Protective Behaviours?

Protective Behaviours is a safety awareness and resilience building program which helps children to recognise any situation where they feel worried or unsafe. Our teaching is based on two key messages:

1 - We all have the right to feel safe all of the time

2 - We can talk with someone about anything, even if it feels awful or small.

At Hillmead we deliver this throughout the school in whole class lessons, during PSHE time and also through personalised 1:1 sessions with one of our 8 Protective Behaviour trained members of staff.
